Yountz was a Solarian citizen and an officer of the Solarian League Navy.
In 1922, Yountz held the rank of Vice Admiral and served as the head of the Office of Naval Intelligence's Office of Economic Analysis until replaced by Captain (later Rear Admiral) Caswell Gweon. (HH14)
