Wicklow was a Havenite citizen and an officer of the People's Navy.
Biography[]
Holding the rank of Commander, Wicklow was an assistant engineer aboard the battlecruiser PNS Achmed when the ship was nearly destroyed by the Manticoran Q-ship HMAMC Wayfarer at the Battle of the Selker Rift.
Following the rescue of Achmed's surviving crewmen by the Manticorans, Commander Wicklow collaborated with the remaining crew of Wayfarer in maintaining basic life support, and was regarded by Senior Chief Petty Officer Ginger Lewis as a "big help" in that regard. At the request of Wayfarer's former commanding officer, Captain Honor Harrington, Wicklow was repatriated to Haven instead of being interned as a prisoner of war, together with the other survivors from Achmed. Eventually promoted to Captain, he joined Esther McQueen's rebellion and served as the commander of the team whose aim was to take out Chairman Pierre during McQueen's attempted coup. (HHA3.2: N)
