von Belling was a member of the Volsung Mercenaries.
In the mid-16th Century PD, he held the rank of Captain and commanded the heavy cruiser Copperhead. In that capacity, he participated in the attempted conquest of the Manticore System. (HHA6.2: ACTA, MA2)
Later in 1544 PD, he remained in command of the Copperhead and participated in the Battle of Danak. (MA3)
