Vladislav Tremain was a Solarian citizen and an officer of the Solarian League Navy.
He served as an Admiral in the SLN some time in the 15th Century PD[1] and wrote a book that was mostly about the evolution of tactics. It described an ancient deception measure, in which a starship's impellers were run past their usual safe levels while its acceleration was kept down once moving; thus, a distant gravitics array would perceive it as a much larger vessel accelerating at its safe maximum.
