Tschermak or Galton IV was the sole habitable planet of the Galton System.
Discovered in the 1660s PD by the crew of the Anoosheh Kashani, the planet orbited its parent star at a distance of about six light-minutes, completed a single revolution approximately every six month, had a surface gravity of about 1.2 G and an atmosphere a bit thicker than that of Earth. Its rotational period of more than sixty-seven hours was inconvenient for its human inhabitants, who split each day into two thirty-three hour "day-halves" separated by a seventy-seven minute "compensate".
The combination of Tschermak's long day and heavy gravity led many of the system's inhabitants to prefer to live elsewhere, although the planet did have spectacular scenery[1]. (CS4)

- ↑ Benjamin Detweiler had heard that the surf and sailing about the Sanger Islands on the planet's Leonard Ocean had to be seen to be believed. Few people were able to however as ninety-nine percent of the all Tschermakians were barred from the islands expect in menial and closely supervised positions.
