Is it sure the invention date of 1296 PD is accurate? I only found that in 1273 PD, Warshawski developed the alpha node and tested the sail using a ship named Fleetwing. (HH6) This would also be supported by the Icarus having left Earth on September 9, 1984 PD (UHH) – how could the ship have started if its engine was invented twelve years later? -- SaganamiFan 03:24, 3 December 2008 (UTC)

The date is from OSB. --Farragut79 14:22, 5 February 2009 (UTC)
Gravitc nodes made possible, quite unsafely, hyperspace travel. The hyperlog made possible some actual navigation. Only later was the sail developed to cope with gravity waves, and incidentally, increase speeds considerably by allowing use of them. Several stages in the development of hyperspace technique. Intersting that Tanakov, a warfare theorist, should have input on the Warshawaki sail, along with Clauswitz and Sun Tzu. ????

Fine with me; as far as I remember, it's just a contextual reference to the time when he wrote it. -- SaganamiFan (Talk) 23:20, September 7, 2009 (UTC)
