TNS Pottawatomie Creek was a John Brown-class frigate of the Royal Torch Navy.

Prior to her service with the Kingdom of Torch, she was registered in the Princedom of Alizon and officially operated by the Anti-Slavery League.

History[]

Constructed at the Hauptman Yards and commissioned in 1918 PD, the Pottawatomie Creek was named by Jeremy X, leader of the Audubon Ballroom, after the Pottawatomie Massacre in May 1856 CE in North America on Earth. While in service with the Anti-Slavery League, the Pottawatomie Creek was used as a training ship for members of the Audubon Ballroom.

In mid 1919 PD, the ship was chosen to transport the sem-official Manticoran Crown's representation[1] to Erewhon for the funeral of Hieronymus Stein. She later took Anton Zilwicki to the planet Smoking Frog in the Maya Sector to investigate a clue to Elaine Komandorski's origins. (CS1)

Following the establishment of the Kingdom of Torch, Pottawatomie Creek, as well as her sister vessels, were commissioned by the Royal Torch Navy. Generally Pottawatomie Creek acted as Anton Zilwicki's personal transport and moreover as the transport of choice for officials of the Torch government. (HH11, CS2, CS3)

In April 1921 PD, during the Second Havenite-Manticoran War, the Pottawatomie Creek transported Anton Zilwicki and Victor Cachat to the Trevor's Star System for a clandestine meeting with Admiral Honor Harrington before Zilwicki and Cachat departed for their first covert mission to Mesa. (HH11, CS2)

In May-June 1922 PD, the Pottawatomie Creek transported a delegation of Torch government officials to Manticore[2]. (CS3)

Crew[]

As of 1919 PD, one third of the personnel on Pottawatomie Creek were officers[3] and the most skilled ratings while the remaining crew were members of Audubon Ballroom. (CS1)
