The Sphinx class was a class of superdreadnoughts developed and operated by the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Origins and Design Notes[]
The Sphinx class was developed before the beginning of the war between the Star Kingdom of Manticore and the People's Republic of Haven. (HH3)
Despite being five hundred thousand tons more massive than the contemporary Seydlitz-class superdreadnoughts of the Imperial Andermani Navy, the Sphinx class' broadside missile batteries were only two-thirds as powerful as those of their Andermani counterparts. (HH6)
They were followed in production by the Gryphon class. (HH5, HH6)
