Seraphim Independence Movement

The Seraphim Independence Movement, or SIM, was a political resistance movement in the Seraphim System.

In 1922 PD, the SIM was beginning to organize an armed insurgency to overthrow the corrupt and Solarian-controlled administration of President Jacqueline McCready. Its attempt to recruit Richard Bledsoe brought it to the attention of the Mesan Alignment, who initiated contact with it for the purposes of their Operation Janus. For that purpose, the Alignment dispatched Rufino Chernyshev and later Damien Harahap, who the SIM believed represented the Star Empire of Manticore.

In that year, when a power vacuum was created by the McCready's death, the SIM was one of three factions that attempted to fill the void, eventually succeeding in its efforts. (SI4)
