The Seaford Nine Ambush was a battle between the People's Navy and the Royal Manticoran Navy outside the Seaford Nine System in the opening days of the First Havenite-Manticoran War.
The battle occurred when three Manticoran light cruisers from the nearby Hancock System assigned to picket Seaford Nine shadowed Admiral Yuri Rollins' task force when it departed Seaford Nine in route to Hancock, unaware that PNS Napoleon and five of her squadron mates had departed the system ten hours before Rollins' task force. Napoleon and her squadron mates maneuvered in behind the Manticoran light cruisers and pinned them against Rollins' task force, destroying the first of them before she had a chance to return fire. The battle was a one-sided massacre. (HH3)
