Samantha II Winton was the fourteenth reigning monarch of the Star Kingdom of Manticore from 1802 to 1857 PD.

Biography

She was born in 1781 PD. Her parents tried to keep the burden of being heir to the throne from influencing her childhood, but, in her own view, failed just as she did with her own son. At some point, she was adopted by a treecat she named Magnus. (Companion)

Samantha II was married to Gerent Manoussos, and had two children with him: Crown Prince Roger (the later King Roger III) and Princess Caitrin (the later Duchess Caitrin Winton-Henke). Through their son, they were also the grandparents of Queen Elizabeth III.

In September 1857 PD, Samantha II died peacefully in her sleep when her heart failed because of deterioration that even regeneration therapy could not cure. (HHA2.3: QG)

As of 1922 PD, her reign was the second longest of any Manticoran monarch, after that of Elizabeth II. (UHH)
