The Royal Starforce was the space defense force of the Free Duchy of Barca.
In the 16th Century PD, its ships were equipped with seventh and eighth generation HighLink radar systems.
In 1543 PD, the Duchy attempted to violently annex the Star Kingdom of Manticore in the aftermath of the Volsung invasion. To this end, the Royal Starforce worked as a front for the Axelrod Corporation, but their plans were ultimately thwarted. (MA3)
