The Pequod System was a star system in the Talbott Cluster and later the Talbott Quadrant of the Star Empire of Manticore.
It took less than a T-week to travel from Pequod to New Tuscany.
In 1920 PD, Peqoud was wealthier than Nuncio, but was as poor as Dresden around 1890 PD.
In 1921 PD, the Royal Manticoran Navy destroyer HMS Reprise was dispatched to Pequod to control the local merchant shipping. While Reprise was on station, the New Tuscan freighter Hélène Blondeau entered the system and exploded almost instantly. Lieutenant Commander Lewis Denton, Reprise's commanding officer, reported to the his superiors in the Spindle System that he believed the ship was blown up deliberately to support New Tuscany's claim of Manticoran harassment.
