Operation Mangonel was a naval operation of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
It was part of Sixth Fleet's offensive early in the First Havenite-Manticoran War.
Operation Premise[]
In 1907 PD, with the People's Navy led Admiral Esther McQueen concentrating its assets in the Trevor's Star and Barnett Systems, the objective of Mangonel was keep the Havenites off-balance and misdirected until sufficient reinforcements could be assembled for serious attacks on Trevor's Star and Barnett. Therefore Mangonel called for simultaneous attacks on Slocum, Owens, Mylar, and Gualt in an arc three quarters of the way around Barnett. The Sixth Fleet, led by Admiral Hamish Alexander, Earl White Haven, was responsible for the attacks on Slocum and Gualt[1], Meanwhile, the Fourth Fleet, led by Admiral Theodosia Kuzak, was responsible for the attacks on Owens and Mylar.
