Operation Gobi was the code name for the Havenite Second Fleet's attack on the Zanzibar System which resulted in the complete destruction of the Zanzibaran and Manticoran naval forces stationed in the system and the subsequent devastation of the Caliphate's orbital industry in the Second Battle of Zanzibar.
