The Noblesse class was a class of destroyers used by the Royal Manticoran Navy in the 19th Century PD.

A contemporary of the Courageous-class light cruiser introduced in 1819 PD, the ships of the class were the oldest destroyers in service with the RMN at the beginning of the First Havenite-Manticoran War., with sixty of them having been constructed. Generally a scaled-down version of its larger cousin, ships of the class carried the same outdated missile tubes and general weapons balance of the Courageous, but without their powerful beam armament. Scheduled for decommissioning by the turn of the century, but the Navy's increased need for light combatants forced many of them to remain in service until 1907 PD. (Companion)

After their eventual retirement, seven Noblesse class destroyers were transferred to the Grayson Space Navy as part of the military assistance agreed upon in the Treaty of Alliance, where they were redesignated as the Jacob-class. (GNLH)
