The Mesan Space Navy, also refered to as the Mesa System Navy, was the official space military force of the one-system star nation of Mesa.
Ships of the MSN used the prefix MSNS. (SI4)
Organization[]
In 1922 PD, the defense of the Mesa System was the responsibility of Task Force One, the Mesan equivalent of the Royal Manticoran Navy's Home Fleet. Its senior uniformed military officer was Admiral Josephine Siminetti.
Its inventory of warships included twenty-five commissioned battlecruisers[1], a force that was assessed as being weaker than a single Manticoran battle squadron. (CS1, SI4)
In addition, the MSN detached smaller operational forces outside the home system to secure the assets of its transstellar corporations such as Manpower Incorporated. One example of these forces was the light task force commanded by Commodore Aikawa Navarre assigned to the Congo System to protect the Mesan operations on the planet Verdant Vista[2][3]. (CS1)
Hardware[]
In the 1920s PD, the MSN operated modern up-to-date units[4]. In the same time Sapphire Technologies of Mesa became the primary builder and supplier of weapons technology for the MSN. While Technodyne Industries was another important supplier, including Cataphract missiles.
As of October 1922 PD, at the time of Manticoran-Havenite invasion of the Mesa System, the Mesan Space Navy consisted of eighty five ships, but six of its battlecruisers were in yard hands for routine overhaul. (SI4)

Marine Complements[]
Individual Mesan Marines were worse trained than members of the Solarian League Marine Corps[6].
