Masters was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Holding the rank of Ensign, he served as a junior communications officer aboard HMS War Maiden. He took over communications after Lieutenant Yuri Sauchuk was killed in battle against the Prism Space Navy's cruiser. (HHA3.1: MMH)
