MacDougal was a Manticoran citizen and a petty officer of Royal Manticoran Navy.
Biography[]
In the mid-1870s PD, he held Chief Petty Officer and was a staff member at the Royal Manticoran Naval Academy on Saganami Island. He was nicknamed the "Terror of the First Form-Middies".
When Honor Harrington attended the Academy, he warmed up to her treecat, Nimitz, and began to carry celery around for him. He apparently felt guilty about this and so treated Midshipwoman Harrington even more strictly. (HH1)
He also got Harrington interested in coup de vitesse. (HHA3.1: MMH) He would make the Manticoran and Gryphon sissies work out in an extra quarter-gee gravity field. (HH3)
