Dr. Lois Suchon, MD, was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Biography[]
In 1900 PD, Suchon held the rank of Lieutenant Commander and served as chief medical officer aboard the light cruiser HMS Fearless. She preferred to sit at her desk and let her subordinates do most of her work in sickbay, a fact that quickly came to Commander Honor Harrington's attention after she took over command. She informed Suchon that she herself was the child of two physicians, and knew full well what the duties of a ship's surgeon were.
When most of her staff was assigned to inspection teams on Medusa, Suchon protested to Commander Harrington until the latter told her in no uncertain terms that they would be sent with the teams no matter what.
A while later, Suchon was sent down to Medusa as a part of the Marine team assigned to protect the government compound. During the defense of the compound, she refused to go to the battle site and waited at the landing zone, until Captain Nikos Papadapolous retrieved her. (HH1)
