John Kanehama was a Manticoran citizen and an officer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Holding the rank of Lieutenant around 1909 PD, he served as Astrogation Officer of the Q-ship HMAMC Wayfarer, assigned to anti-piracy duty in the Silesian Confederacy. He was killed in the Battle of the Selker Rift. (HH6)
