The hexafly was a genus of insect native to the planet Sphinx in the Manticore System.
In the 16th Century PD, the Sphinx Forestry Service believed that various species of hexaflies played essential roles in the pollination of many native plants. One of these species was the lavender hexaflies. (SK3)
