Hauptmann Cartel is a Star Kingdom of Manticore corporation owned by Klaus Hauptmann. The Hauptmann Cartel is the largest, richest shipping business in all of Manticore. The cartel's main focus is in merchant trade, though it does bid on and work on contracts for the Royal Manticoran Navy's research and development efforts.
The HMMS Mondragon, a freighter, was caught trying to smuggle Kodiak Maximus hides at Medusa. The Admiralty Court decided that the cartel was not responsible for the smuggling, but was fined because they should have known what their employees are doing. (On Basilisk Station)
