HMS Hawkwing (DD-1213) was a Falcon-class destroyer of the Royal Manticoran Navy.

Service Record

The ship was built in 1846 PD, and remained in service for over sixty years. From 1897 to 1899 PD, under the command of Commander Honor Harrington, it was detached to Silesian space and took part in the Casimir Raid. (HHA5.3: LD)

In 1899 PD, the ship earned a Fleet Excellence Award for tactics in that year's war games. Harrington was given command of the light cruiser HMS Fearless partly due to her ship winning this award. (HH1, OBS)

In 1910 PD, Hawkwing was commanded by Commander Gene Usher. She was ordered to guard the civilian liner Artemis, owned by Hauptman Lines, when Klaus and Stacey Hauptman traveled to the Silesian Confederacy. Hawkwing was destroyed when the convoy she was unofficially escorting was attacked by the Havenite battlecruiser PNS Kerebin in the Selker Rift as part of Admiral Javier Giscard's commerce raiding operations. Over eighty of her crew were rescued by pinnaces from Kerebin and PNS Durandel. (HH6)
