The Ferret class was a class of light attack craft built and used by the Royal Manticoran Navy.
Technical Specifications[]
Ferret-class ships carried fifty-six ship-killers and one hundred fifty countermissiles. They had four sets of sidewall generators. (HH9)
History[]
Developed as part of Project Anzio, these LACs lacked all offensive energy armament to provide maximum hull volume for missile magazines and a powerful electronic warfare suite.
The class was redesigned after the Second Battle of Hancock. (HH8)
Doctrine called for them to be used in support roles. Against light units and merchantmen, they could be used from outside the attack range of a Shrike-B. Against heavy units, they provided close-in ECM support for Shrike-Bs. (HH9)
