The Endicott System was a star system near Yeltsin's Star; its primary population center was the planet Masada.
It was originally colonized as a new home for the Faithful, the losing side of the Grayson Civil War.[1]
Star Geography[]
The system was 38 light years to the galactic north east of the Manticore System and had one habitable planet named Masada. Its star was classified as a K4. The system had an asteroid belt that was used for a system of star bases by the Navy of Masada.
Its location approximately halfway between the Star Kingdom of Manticore and the People's Republic of Haven made it a strategically important system for both star nations. (HH2, HH3)
History[]
Masada was settled by the Faithful of the Church of Humanity Unchained, who had been banished from the planet Grayson in the nearby Yeltsin's Star System after the end of the Grayson Civil War.
Due to its strategic location, both the Star Kingdom of Manticore and the People's Republic of Haven showed interest in an alliance with Masada, but Manticore eventually decided to align itself with Grayson instead.
In 1903 PD, Haven started to send money and supplies to bolster the Endicott System's military capacity, in an attempt to develop an alliance and plan an invasion of the Yeltsin's Star System. (HH2)
After the Masadan invasion of Grayson had failed, Admiral White Haven of the Royal Manticoran Navy proceeded to Endicott, conquered the system, and left a picket in orbit with a Marine contingent aboard to drop on any disorder on short notice. Eventually, the Royal Manticoran Army took over the ground side of policing the system. (HH5)
