The Director of Defense was a senior member of the Planetary Board of Directors of the planet Beowulf, responsible for overseeing the system defense policies.
In 1922 PD, the office was held by Gabriel Caddell-Markham, a former officer of the Beowulf System-Defense Force. (HH13)
