The Constitutional Convention of 1795 PD was a convention held in the Republic of Haven.

Held in 1795 PD, it radically rewrote the Constitution of the Republic of Haven to create the People's Republic of Haven. The new constitution maintained the facade of democracy while limiting eligibility requirements, office qualifications, and the franchise to vote, supposedly to reduce voter fraud and restrict the political clout of special interest groups. With these changes, it was impossible to elect a representative that wasn't a Legislaturalist.

In addition, it abridged the old constitution's robust protections of freedom of speech and assembly, although that clause was carefully worded to disguise its purposes. (Companion)
