Cloning referred to a biotechnological process used to create exact copies of DNA fragments, cells, or entire organisms like humans. A being created in such a process was called a clone.
During Earth's Final War, the Asian Confederacy employed cloning farms to create its genetically enhanced super soldiers. The soldiers eventually turned on their creators in the Beijing Coup in order to gain control of these farms. (CS3)
