The Chotěbořian Republika was a single system star nation in the Verge of the Solarian League.
Chotěbořian capital was the city of Velehrad on the planet Chotěboř in the Kumang System.
History[]
Although nominally independent, the Republika, under its head of state President Jan Cabrnoch, had lost its sovereignty to the Office of Frontier Security after the Komár Crisis around 1921 PD. The direct representative of OFS in the system was System Administrator Luis Verner.
In 1922 PD, Adam Šiml, with the support of Karl-Heinz Sabatino, the local CEO of Frogmore-Wellington Aeronautics and Iwahara Interstellar, and tacit approval of System Administrator Luis Verner, led a popular revolution against System President Cabrnoch, ascending to the presidency himself when Cabrnoch resigned.
Shortly thereafter, he retained the office when Task Group 10.2.8 of the Royal Manticoran Navy removed the Kumang System from the control of OFS and restored the sovereignty of the Republika in the Battle of Kumang. (SI4)
