Lord Carmichael de Quieroz, Baron of New Madrid, was a Manticoran peer and the husband of Princess Elizabeth Winton.
He and the princess married in 1534 PD; at that time, he already had three children with his deceased first wife: Miriam, Brandon, and Juliette.
He died in a hunting accident only a few years later. (MA2)
Shortly after her unexpected ascension to the Manticoran throne, Elizabeth had herself inseminated with Carmichael's frozen sperm to create an heir. She also had a constitutional ammendment passed to legitimize the child[1] even though it was not sired by a commoner spouse as the Constitution demanded. (MA3)
