The Battles of Chelsea and Mendoza were battles in the Chelsea and Mendoza Systems between the Royal Manticoran Navy, commanded by Admiral White Haven, and the People's Navy during the Allied Counteroffensive of 1905. (HH3, HH4)

Prelude[]

After the Havenite attacks on Yeltsin's Star and Hancock, but before the subsequent assassination of Hereditary President Sidney Harris, in the opening days of the First Havenite-Manticoran War, First Space Lord Thomas Caparelli authorized Case Riposte, leading the Star Kingdom of Manticore to launch an offensive operation to seize a number of tactically relevant systems in the space between itself and the People's Republic of Haven. (EH1)

Course of battles[]

The course of the Battle of Mendoza is unknown. According to Admiral White Haven, the Chelsea System was seized by him without a shot being fired.

Aftermath[]

With the loss of Chelsea and Mendoza, the Zanzibar Liberation Front lost its safe bases and did not resurface. Neither system was mentioned later on in the course of the war, so both systems most likely became insignificant rear areas.
