Anduril class

The Anduril class was a class of superdreadnoughts built and maintained by the Royal Manticoran Navy.

Noted for their heavy beam armament as opposed to the missile-heavy Samothrace-class, these ships were built as a replacement for the King William-class vessels. (JIR1)

A relatively short-lived design, they were quickly succeeded in production by the Victory class, as their beam centric design included extremely heavy armor which made them very difficult to maintain while little more combat effective than the older, and cheaper, Gladiator-class dreadnought. Some of the Andurils were sold to the Erewhon Navy in 1917 PD. (Companion)
