Dame Amandine Corvisart was a Manticoran citizen and a diplomat.
She was a second-generation Manticoran citizen whose family had fled the People's Republic of Haven in 1856 PD[1].
In 1921 PD, she served as a special representative of the Foreign Office assigned to negotiate a settlement with the Republic of Monica after the destruction of most of the Monican Navy by the Royal Manticoran Navy. She stated that Manticore would demand extradition of Aldona Anisimovna and Isabel Bardasano on accusations of murder, terrorism, and illegal weapons trafficking. However, she refused to accuse Lorcan Verrochio of criminal actions. (SI1)
After the destruction of the NTNS Hélène Blondeau in the Pequod System, Baroness Medusa dispatched Corvisart and Commodore Ray Chatterjee of Destroyer Squadron 301 to the New Tuscany System to seek a diplomatic solution to the situation. She, Chatterjee, and the crews of the three Roland-class destroyers that went into the New Tuscany System were killed when Admiral Josef Byng fired upon them without warning in the New Tuscany Incident, believing without evidence that the Manticorans were responsible for the destruction of the New Tuscan space station Giselle. Their deaths and Byng's actions precipitated the subsequent Second Battle of New Tuscany. (SI2)
